“Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.”
“You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the
lives of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”
I love this quote from Robert Brault.
It describes life with children perfectly, not to mention daily life in general.
It’s not the occasional trips or once-in-a-lifetime experiences…it’s the little things.
Those little things add up to what your life is.
I correlate that with:
I don’t want to wake up one day and realize that all those little things I disliked became my life. I don’t want to spend all my time with things that I don’t value.
Where one thing goes wrong. Then suddenly everything takes a turn toward the bad?
I really believe that when you let yourself turn toward negative thoughts, your quality of life suffers.
Negativity cannot produce joy. And without joy, you cannot find long-term happiness.
So, when things take a negative turn, take a deep breath, refocus on something good.
Bad things happen. That’s a natural fact in this blemished world. But that doesn’t mean you cannot have a positive and happy life while here.
I woke early this morning and was just feeling a little off.
So I decided to pull up this little gem.
Ah! Much better! I’m smiling and ready to start my day!
I’m hoping this will have the same effect for you.
